Last updated: October 26, 2026
This notice describes personal information handled in connection with the Marinship Industries Storage website, inquiries and storage services in California. The website does not currently offer an account, rental checkout or inquiry form. Phone, email, in-person and rental interactions can involve additional information.
1. Information, sources and purposes
The business reports collecting rental and payment records; identification, registration and insurance records; and security camera footage. Information comes from customers or their representatives, transactions and facility cameras. Website service providers may receive technical information directly from your browser.
- Contact and identifiers: information you provide in an inquiry or rental, used to communicate, identify customers and administer services.
- Rental and payment records: transaction and storage-service records, used for billing, accounting and service administration. Specific payment fields and payment providers must be confirmed; do not send card numbers by email.
- Identification, registration and insurance: records supplied for storage arrangements, used to verify identity, ownership, eligibility and insurance. Government ID numbers and certain financial information can be sensitive personal information under California law.
- Visual information: facility security camera footage, used for safety, incident investigation and facility security. This notice does not establish audio recording, facial recognition or biometric processing.
- Internet and device information: IP address, browser/device information and requests needed to deliver website pages, images, fonts and maps; hosting and delivery providers may maintain operational logs.
We may also use relevant records to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and prevent fraud. Separate notices at collection are required where applicable before collecting information through rental documents, payment services, cameras or future online tools. Additional or incompatible uses require appropriate notice and, where required, consent.
2. Disclosure, sale and sharing
The business has reported selling or sharing personal information. Under the CCPA, “sale” can include an exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration; “sharing” includes disclosure for cross-context behavioral advertising, even without payment. The specific categories, purposes, recipients and prior-12-month activity have not yet been verified and are not represented as established facts here.
Website hosting and media-delivery services receive data necessary to deliver the site. Google receives connection information when Google Fonts or the embedded Google Map loads; Google review and directions links take you to Google. These technical disclosures are not, by themselves, a determination that every provider disclosure is a sale or sharing. Other rental, payment, insurance or marketing recipients must be identified by the business.
California residents can use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information to set this browser’s preference and find instructions for requests covering customer records. This browser preference alone does not communicate a request to offline systems.
Information may be disclosed when legally required, to address security threats or in a business transfer subject to applicable privacy obligations. A complete CCPA notice must separately identify categories collected, disclosed for business purposes, sold or shared during the preceding 12 months, and the corresponding recipient categories; those business records remain to be verified.
3. Retention and security
Retention should be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the purpose of collection. Relevant criteria include the active rental period, accounting and tax requirements, insurance and legal obligations, incident investigations and dispute-resolution needs. Footage ordinarily calls for a shorter operational retention period unless preserved for an incident. Specific schedules must be confirmed; this policy does not invent a fixed number of days or years.
Reasonable safeguards should protect personal information, with restricted access and suitable vendor protections. No website, email transmission or storage system is completely secure. Please do not send full identity documents, passwords or payment details through ordinary email.
4. Cookies, analytics and browser signals
The current website does not have an active Google Analytics measurement ID or an advertising pixel. It uses external image delivery, Google Fonts and an embedded Google Map. These services can receive your IP address and browser information and may use their own cookies under their policies. See Google’s privacy policy. Browser cookie controls may restrict these technologies.
A privacy opt-out preference is stored only when you choose it, in this browser’s local storage, until you remove it or clear browser data. It is not an account-wide record. Optional analytics on this site is prevented when this preference or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal is present. The site does not otherwise change behavior in response to legacy Do Not Track (DNT) signals, which are distinct from GPC.
We cannot control independent third parties’ information collection across other sites. If advertising or additional tracking is introduced, the notice and applicable opt-out processing must be updated before activation.
5. California privacy rights
CalOPPA governs covered commercial websites independently of CCPA coverage. CCPA/CPRA rights depend on whether the business is covered and on statutory exceptions. Coverage, including any affiliated entities, has not been determined here. When applicable, California residents have rights to:
- Know and access categories and specific pieces of personal information, sources, purposes and categories of recipients, including applicable sale/sharing disclosures.
- Delete personal information, subject to lawful exceptions, and correct inaccurate information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing without identity verification; qualifying GPC signals must be honored by covered businesses.
- Limit uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information when it is used beyond permitted purposes; not every use of sensitive information requires a limit link.
- Receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
- Use an authorized agent, subject to permitted proof of authority and verification for requests that require it.
Under applicable rules, know/delete/correct requests are acknowledged within 10 business days and answered within 45 calendar days. A permitted extension can add up to 45 calendar days with notice and reasons. Covered businesses process sale/sharing opt-outs and applicable sensitive-information limitation requests as soon as feasible and no later than 15 business days. Requests are generally free; statutory exceptions and permitted verification requirements apply. An opt-out is not conditioned on creating an account or providing government ID.
6. Submit a request or update your information
Privacy requests: Marinship Industries Storage, 70 Liberty Ship Way, Sausalito, CA 94965
Email: office@schoonmakermarina.com
Office: (415) 331-5550
Identify the right you want to exercise and provide only the information needed to locate the relevant records. For access, deletion or correction, identity verification may be needed using existing records. Authorized agents may provide signed permission; additional verification may be required where lawful. Do not send sensitive documents unless a secure method is arranged.
You may ask to review or correct information through these same channels. Email and phone above are the site’s existing office contacts, not independently verified privacy-request channels. Postal requests can be addressed to the confirmed facility address. If CCPA applies, the business must establish and monitor compliant request channels; the applicable toll-free telephone requirement must also be assessed because this business is not exclusively online.
California Civil Code §1798.83 (“Shine the Light”), when applicable, permits requests about specified disclosures to third parties for their direct marketing. Submit such a request using the contact details above; applicable responses are due within 30 days. This right is separate from the CCPA opt-out.
7. Children and young consumers
This website is intended for adults arranging storage, not children under 13. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information. Covered businesses must obtain affirmative authorization before knowingly selling or sharing information of a consumer under 16, including parental authorization for children under 13. No age-based consent program is represented as implemented here.
8. Changes and questions
Updates are posted on this page with a revised date. Material changes should be communicated as required by law, including direct notice where appropriate. A new purpose or expanded sale/sharing practice cannot be justified merely by retroactively editing this page.
